Welcome to Brisbane Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery, the clinic of Dr. Phil Richardson. Brisbane Plastic Surgery is founded by Queensland-trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Philip Richardson – an experienced and accomplished plastic, reconstructive & cosmetic surgeon based in Brisbane. He has had 12 years training and an additional 20+ years experience as a specialist plastic surgeon in Brisbane. Dr Phil Richardson has performed over 8,500 breast surgeries, and is one of the only plastic surgeons with a focus on breast surgery in Queensland.
Dr. Richardson is best known for his caring, honest and approach to patient care as well as his patient initiative, The BRAS Clinic. The BRAS Clinic is a follow-up service providing patients with breast implants access to routine breast implant check-ups and reviews in the months and years following surgery.
Dr Phil Richardson’s Education and Training – Plastic Surgery
Dr Phil Richardson graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland. He then went on to complete his three year residency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane. Following his residency he undertook an additional four years of specialist training. The Plastic and Reconstructive training program was undertaken through the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Mater Children’s Hospital, and the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane and Melbourne.
After his training, plastic surgeon Dr Richardson went on to establish his own private practice, Brisbane Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery. His areas of interest include breast augmentation mammoplasty, breast reduction mammaplasty, and breast lift mastopexy, as well as male breast reduction for men who require gynaecomastia treatment. Dr. Richardson also works as a visiting reconstructive surgeon at the Royal Children’s public hospital in Brisbane. He has published extensive articles on plastic surgery and regularly mentors training surgeons.
In his spare time, Dr Phil Richardson loves fishing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and four beautiful children.

Dr. Philip Richardson is an experienced fully qualified Specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon with a special interest in cosmetic breast surgery and combined breast and abdominal procedures. These include but are not limited to: breast augmentation, reduction mammaplasty (breast reduction), combined mastopexy (breast lift) and augmentation, revision breast augmentation, gynaecomastia (male breast reduction), breast implant removal, and abdominoplasty surgery.
Dr. Richardson has over 20 years’ experience as a practising plastic surgeon, an additional 12 years of specialist surgical training and has performed over 8,500 surgeries in the past decade. Dr. Richardson is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australasian Society of Plastic Surgery, the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr Milap Rughani – Specialist Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Milap Rughani is a fully qualified Specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon with a special interest in skin cancer excision and facial reconstruction procedures.
Dr. Rughani undertook his tertiary studies at the the University of Leeds, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (First class Honours), a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. He went on to complete his plastic surgery training at Oxford, UK, and is a current member of The Royal College of Surgeons in England FRCS(PLAST) as well as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons FRACS(PLAST). Since obtaining his Fellowships, Dr. Rughani has spent 5 years working as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital where he has performed major surgery for cancer and trauma patients.

As Business Manager, Lauren plays a pivotal role in co-ordinating the Brisbane Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery experience. She has worked for Dr. Richardson for over 18 years! Lauren has unrivalled experience in patient care and surgical planning, and works closely with our Clinic Manager, Jaymee, to ensure practice efficiency. Like all of us here at the clinic, Lauren is dedicated to ensuring that our practice upholds a professional and exceptional experience for all our clients.
Jaymee – Clinic Manager
Our clinic manager Jaymee works tirelessly to streamline practice processes and facilitate the optimal experience for each and every patient. Jaymee plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-today processes to ensure a seamless patient experience, with her high level of attention to detail and proactive approach to addressing challenges within the clinic making her integral to practice efficiency.
Teagan, Katy & Naomi – Patient Liaisons
Teagan, Katy & Naomi are the friendly faces you will meet at our front reception. Their ultimate goal is to create a nurturing, supportive, and informative environment for each patient that walks through the door. They will be your port of call for all appointment bookings, and any telephone and email enquiries. Keren – Review Clinic Nurse & Injector
Nurse Keren is our resident injector here at BPCS, and she has over a decade experience in the field. She is highly experienced in providing aesthetic treatments and offers tailored treatments unique to your unique anatomy and specific goals in Brisbane at our clinics in both Hamilton and North Lakes. She also helps alongside the practice nurses with pre and post-operative care for all of Dr. Richardson’s surgical patients. Alongside her busy schedule, Keren runs BRAS (Breast Review After Surgery). BRAS clinic is designed for women who require a routine breast check-up with no-out-of-pocket appointment costs.
