Dr. Richardson recommends Motiva implants to nearly all of his patients. These are smooth surface, silicone gel implants that come in a large variety of sizes and profiles. The main advantage of Motiva breast implants, when compared to other implant brands is from a safety perspective. The capsular contracture rate for Motiva is less than 1%, and with a smooth surface, there is no cited link between these implants and ALCL, which is a concern associated with textured implants. The second advantage is from an aesthetic perspective.
Dr. Richardson has 12 years of training and 20 years experience as a practising surgeon, honing his experience in breast procedures. As one of the only plastic surgeons focusing entirely in breast surgery in Queensland, he is recognised for his breast surgery techniques and is experienced in complex and reconstructive cases.
