Tuberous Breasts and Medicare
Tuberous breast deformity surgery is a medical procedure and there are Medicare and private health rebates available. However, you will still have out-of-pocket costs. If you have an appropriate level of private health cover, your hospital fees will be billed to your health fund.
In order to qualify for rebates, you must have an official diagnosis of tubular breast deformity. Not every patient with small breasts has tubular breast disorder, and so not all breast augmentation mammoplasty patients are able to qualify for Medicare rebates. It’s crucial that you be evaluated for tuberous breast deformity prior to booking your surgery, if you would like to use private insurance to pay for your procedure.
If you have any questions about tuberous breast rebates or pricing for tuberous breast correction you can contact us for a full quote.
Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner
How do I know if I have tubular breast deformity?
Here at Brisbane Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery we offer complimentary photo assessments. If you are unsure about whether you are eligible for tuberous breast deformity Medicare rebates we can organise a photo assessment where Dr. Richardson will provide your recommended procedure prior to any bookings. This will help you to plan financially, as you will know whether or not you would qualify for tuberous breast Medicare rebates. To organise a photo assessment, send us an enquiry here.
